Mitchell Dwain Wright, age 74 of Estill Springs, TN. passed away from this earth to be with his Lord and Savior on February 9, 2023 @ his home with his devoted wife and family.
He was born on September 13, 1948 in Lawrenceburg, TN.
to the late Mitchell Luther Wright and Lorine Othello (Pettus) Wright.
After high school he served in the United States Army, when he returned home Dwain embarked on a 35+ year career as an electrical inspector for Franklin and Grundy Counties.
For 52 years Dwain was the lead singer for a Gospel Quartet the "Keysmen". He and his family served the Lord by singing and spreading the gospel through their music.
He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church where he had served as the music director.
Dwain did many things he loved with and for his family from coaching little league, going boating, photography, (he loved taking photos of every special event), going to games and watching TN Vols football with his family.
He will always be loved and remembered as a devoted, honest, dependable, loving husband, father, and Papa he was.
He was preceded by the death of his parents and sisters Delores Millaway and Vickie Geer.
Dwain is survived by his loving wife Wilma Wright and children Mitchell ( Rebecca) Wright Jr.
Christopher Wright, Kimberly (Travis) Miller, Wendy (David) Hillhouse, Thadd Barton (Lacey) and Bryan (Leslie) Wright. Misty Morris
Grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Heather, Samantha, Ashleigh, Heather, Savannah, Jessica, Chasity, Damian, Jayden, Alexus, Alyssa, Chloe, Peyton, Maddie, Asher, Maliyah, Brittany,Kayla, Missy, Melissa, Brandon, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Sunday February 12, 2023 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 13, 2023 at 11 am at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Kesey officiating.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
