I am so sorry for the loss of Mohammed - an American patriot. His family can be so proud that he was helping other people when he passed away. God bless Mohammed's family and friends. We will not forget.

In remembrance....

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

A true American Hero....May he live for eternity in paradise.

Over the last six months I have been reading the moving story of Mohammed's disappearance on 9/11 and the awful, unjustified suspicion that he might have had connections to the terrorist movement. My heart ached for his parents as they defended their son insisting that he was a true patriot and had probably lost his life volunteering in the rescue effort at the WTC site. Last month I was gratified to hear that his remains had been found at Ground Zero and positively identified. I can only imagine what consolation that must have been to you to prove to the world that your son did indeed die a hero!



Although your grief at losing your beloved son must be a deep pain that you will carry in your hearts for the rest of your life I know how proud of him you are; indeed, your eulogy at his memorial service said that much.



I just want to tell you how honored I am to call him a fellow citizen and New Yorker. He is proof positive that the best Americans and New Yorkers are often made, not born here, because they have actively chosen a country and city to love where many others are here just by an accident of birth.



I mourn the loss of such a precious asset to our society as Mohammed who, by his service to all of us, would have continued to try to make this world a better place. And I salute you, his parents, for your role in guiding to maturity such a wonderful son. He is certainly a model for all of us.



May God bless you all until you meet again in heaven someday!
