Funeral services for Moises Ruiz, 73, of Livingston, Texas will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow later at the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Moises was born May 21, 1952, in San Benito, Texas and passed away on January 4, 2026, in The Woodlands, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Ruiz and Guadalupe (Noriega) Ruiz; wife, Elvia C. Ruiz; and brother, Alberto Ruiz.

He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Lynn Romero and Juan of Livingston, Texas; son, William Alexander Ruiz and Carol of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Wendy Michelle Ruiz of Livingston, Texas; son, Marcus Anthony Ruiz and Barbie of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Sophia Eve Reyes and Christopher, Sierra Ruiz, Carlos Isaac Romero, Savannah Sessum and Michael, Marisol Ruiz, Guillermo Alvarez III, William Alexander Ruiz Jr., Evie Ruiz, Moises Antonio Alvarez, Gabriel Anthony Ruiz, Abraham Lucas Ruiz, and Sara Elizabeth Ruiz; great granddaughter, Scottie May Sessum; sister, Audelia Mendoza of La Feria, Texas; sister, Arcelia Ruiz of San Benito, Texas; brother, Mario Ruiz and Esperanza of San Benito, Texas; sister, Amalia Capetillo and Eloy of Rio Hondo, Texas; sister, Amelia Capetillo of Pearland, Texas; brother, Antonio Ruiz Jr. and Suri of San Benito, Texas; and sister, Odilia Ruiz of San Benito, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
