Molly Edwards Obituary
Molly Elizabeth Hathcock Edwards, 87, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle.
Molly was born September 28, 1937 in Stanly County to the late Edgar Hoyle Hathcock and the late Bertha Magdalene Morton Hathcock.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Larry Hathcock and Dorman Hathcock; and sisters, Betty Ussery and Jeanette Roberson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, officiated by Pastor Russell Kinlaw. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main Street, Albemarle.
Survivors include husband, Nathan Edwards of the home; daughter, Wanda (Robert) Vick of Albemarle; son, Wayne (Odessa) Hathcock; and granddaughters, Cindy (Jimmy) Page and Nikki (Corey) Prevatte.
Molly enjoyed going on her girls trip each year, her favorite place was the beach. She was a woman who enjoyed bingo and playing the lottery. As many times as she has played, she has won. She won it big this time, being with her Lord and Savior.
