Molly Landrigan

Molly (Ellingwood) Landrigan, 93, of Meredith, N.H., passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, from natural causes.

She was born in Groveton, N.H., in 1932 to Ismond and Ethel (Patterson) Ellingwood. Known officially as Mary Jane, she graduated from Groveton High School in 1950 and attended Fisher Junior College in Boston, Mass. Molly began her career as a clerk with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., and Boston. She later returned to New Hampshire, working for Irwin Marine in Laconia before spending the majority of her career at Samaha's clothing store in Meredith. She concluded her working years at Southern New Hampshire University in Gilford and the Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce. She spent her final years at the VNA Senior Living Community in Somerville, Mass.

Molly was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Landrigan, and her siblings and their spouses, Margaret "Peggy" (Ellingwood) and Bruce Haviland, David and Marilyn "Lynn" Ellingwood, and Dean and Alice Ellingwood.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, John and Linda Lee Landrigan of Cambridge, Mass.; and Dan and Leslie Landrigan of Stonington, Maine; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.

She will be remembered as a warm and spirited person who cherished her family and many dear friends.
