Destry - I'm so sorry to hear of Mona's passing. For some reason, God put you and Mona on my heart today, so I decided to search the internet to see if I can locate you. Sadly, I came across Mona's obituary. I pray that God all is well with you and your family. If you get this message, I hope that I will hear from you. It's been along time since our college days at UD.

Dear Destry and Sydney,I only recently learned of the passing of Mona. I am reaching out to share with you my deep love for this wonderful woman you both know as wife and mother. She touched my heart and life in so many ways. I have always held her in such high regard. Its not anything lost on you, I am sure, but she to me was such a beautiful shining star. I always knew how special she was and I try to emulate so many of her wonderful traits to this day. I am so deeply saddened. I will never forget you all. Thank you for blessing Ms Shellie with your lives.

Destry, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter in this time of need. She will be missed but forever in your hearts.

So sorry to hear of the passing of our dear Brooklyn Tech HS Class of '83 Classmate. Mona was truly a joy to be in fellowship with. Glad to hear that she still had the same beautiful infectious laugh that I remember so well from Graphics class. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. We were so looking forward to seeing her but please know that she will be fondly remembered.

I had the JOY of meeting Mona and Nadine when I attended grad school at the University of Dayton. Mona was a courageous, precious jewel! She blessed each of us with her fun/magnetic personality, that beautiful smile, her quick wit and humor :) , and her undying love for Destry, Sydney, her family at large, and friends.

I am deeply saddened by her passing.... Heaven has gained another angel, that's for sure!

May God continue to provide comfort, healing and understanding to all of us who mourn her passing. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live in our hearts forever.

As a member of Stt. Charles funeral choir, I had the privilege to sing the Massfor Mona. After hearing the eulogy I deeply regret not knowing her. The peace of Christ be with you.

Destroy my prayers goes out to you and your family .

Mona was a bright light in all of our hearts. The "queen of hugs" always had a kind word and a smile, spreading sunshine wherever she was. She drew you into her heart and her life like a magnet and we found ourselves dropping everything for the chance to spend time with her whenever she needed a favor. My sympathy goes out to Destry and the members of Mona's family. I remember her as a great lawyer but even more as a great person.

Destry: I am so sorry for your loss. We miss and loved Mona more than words can describe. She was one of the most remarkable human beings I've ever had the honor and previledge of knowing. I will long miss her sparkling wit, laughter and smile. The U.S. Attorney's Office will be a far sadder place for a long time due to Mona's passing.
