Mona Lee Cutshall Shelton

Mona Lee Cutshall Shelton, 81, gained her angel wings on November 9, 2025. She was a much beloved wife, mommy, mamaw, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. Our lives will never be the same without her.
Her favorite things to do were to cook and hunt until the last few years when her failing eyesight made it so hard for her to do either of them. She would cook for us anytime she knew we were coming to see her, because food was her love language, and she loved us all well. She was an avid deer hunter and loved to tell stories of her hunts.
She was a feisty little woman, but was not hard to understand. You always knew where you stood with her. She either liked something, or she didn't, and you never had to wonder which one it was. The people she loved, she loved fiercely, and we are very thankful to have been loved by her.
She did not want a visitation, but a simple graveside service with her family and friends. Reverend Jimmy Dean Hensley, one of her many adopted nephews, will officiate. She will be buried in the family cemetery on Shelton Laurel on November 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
We, and her precious Sassy, Charlie, Boots, and Muffin will miss her every single day.
