Mona Louise Stanley

GAGO Lou Stanley went to be with her maker on Friday, August 13, 2021, taking with her all the thoughts and prayers she received from many. Her last days were shared with her three kids, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, who she loved dearly. She spoke and envisioned this day coming and was looking forward to being met by those that passed before her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Molly Russell; brother, James Russell; and her loving husband of 57 years, Ed Stanley. She enjoyed life to its fullest, especially when it was shared with her family. Trips to the gulf shore and lake with family by her side brought smiles and laughter to all. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife. She was always caring but could give you a piece of her mind when deserved. Procrastination was not a word in her dictionary, it needed to be done yesterday! All that knew her and spent time with her would find that they were in the presence of a kind and gentle woman. She will be sincerely missed by many as she made their lives more joyful. We love you Gago.

The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses of Mercy Hospital, and the staff of Visiting Angels for all their support.

Those wishing to pay respects may do so Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel with entombment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. www.smithandkernke.com
