Mona Wittlinger

Mona Wittlinger, 82, of Findlay, OH, passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Mona was born on August 24, 1943, in Findlay to the late Elmore & Marie (Fares) Smith. She graduated from North Baltimore High School, and she attended Findlay College. She married Walter E. "Wally" Wittlinger on July 14, 1973. He survives.

She is also survived by her children, Garth (Carmen) Brown and Meagan (Tom Hipp) Brown; grandchildren, Gavin (Amber) Brown, Garrett (Frances) Brown, Greer (Ethan) Polster, Gabrielle Brown, Mikayla Brown, Aubrey (Mick) Rivera, August Cleary, Kitty Cleary, Anthony (Jenn) Hipp, Spencer Miller, and Anya Miller; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Brown and Lainey Hipp, and niece, Paris Miller. She was preceded in death by her son, Grayling James Brown.

Mona was vivacious. Her bright and colorful personality was also reflected in her fashion sense. Mona loved sparkles, rhinestones, and high heels. She was an amazingly creative person who had a talent for decorating, accessorizing, and making sure the smallest detail was fabulous! Mona was an animal lover and had a special spot in her heart for her beloved "mini" pig, Miss Piggy. While her feisty, stubbornness, and strong will were only a few of her attributes, she was known to all of us as an incredibly proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her legacy. She would move heaven and earth to protect them. Mona's people were truly loved. She will be remembered for many things but especially for her molasses cookies, the best summer drinking porch in Findlay, and a woman who never wanted to get old.
