Miss Monica Georgina De Leon, 20, has returned to be with the Lord, and now is free of all illness and pain. She was comforted by the faith and fellowship of her family during her illness. Monica now is at peace in the Lord. She was born on June 22, 2004, in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of Jose Angel and Monica de Leon, and had been a resident of Laredo for her entire life. She is a graduate of Dr. Leo G. Cigarroa High School in 2022. We will forever cherish her memory in our hearts and minds.
She is preceded in death by her brother: Pablo Javier De Leon.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her parents: Jose Angel and Monica De Leon; siblings: Rev. Jose Angel De Leon Jr., Leonardo Antonio (Alejandra Lara) De Leon, Joel (Bryanna) De Leon; sister-in-law: Samantha Yvonne de Leon, nieces and nephews: Pablo Javier Jr., Angel Ricardo, Leah Yvonne, Camila Andrea, Gabriel Tadeo, Kaylee, Leonardo Jr., Arely, Jesus, Yaneli, Sheila, Joel Jr., Gianna, Giovanni, Giuliana, other relatives and friends.
Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Liturgy of the Hours will take place at 7 pm.
Funeral services will commence at 7 am until 9 am on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a funeral procession will depart the chapel to San Agustin Cathedral, where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:30 am.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jose Angel De Leon Sr., Leonardo A. De Leon, Joel De Leon, Pablo Javier "PJ" De Leon Jr., Angel Ricardo De Leon, Leonardo A. De Leon Jr.
