Monica Daugherty Dunlap

Monica Dunlap (nee Daugherty), age 76, of Taylor Mill, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025. Monica graduated from Thomas More College where she was a member of Alpha Lambda Mu Sorority. She then began a long teaching career where she taught at St. Pius, St. Paul and Taylor Mill Elementary Schools. Monica also was a Board Member and donated her time at North Key (previously known as Children’s Psychiatric) where she touched many people’s lives.

Monica is survived by her siblings: Dennis Daugherty (Susan), Maureen Rauch (John) and Katie Caccavari (Pete); her sister-in-law, Gail Johnson as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Dunlap and sister, Julie Daugherty.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at St. Pius X Church from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the David Dunlap Foundation at St. Elizabeth Hospital 1 Medical Village Dr. Edgewood, KY 41017.
