Monica Greer Obituary
Monica Greer passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 79. She was born on Friday, May 31, 1946 in Needham, Massachusetts to the late Barbara Dunphy DiSabato and the late Rocco DiSabato. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana. Monica was a dedicated teacher for 30 years in Tangipahoa Parish, and a volunteer at North Oaks Hospice for 10 years.
Monica is survived by her sons, Matt Greer(Laura) and Luke Greer(Elizabeth); grandchildren, Karleigh Greer, Mason Greer, Madison Greer, Braden Greer, Aubrey Greer, and Rowan Greer; siblings, Robert J. DiSabato(Joan) and Laura DiSabato Gagnon(Jerry); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Monica was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Hyde Greer; son, Jonathan Greer; siblings, Richard DiSabato and Ronald Nicholas DiSabato; and nephew, Nicholas DiSabato.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM until the memorial service begins at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Richard Murphy Hospice in Monica's name.
