Monicol grew up close to his Grandmother June Benally on Dinetah, originally from Big Mountain, Arizona. He was known by his infectious laugh and kind spirit. Growing up he was the peace maker, always had a smile and hug to share. He enjoyed time with his family, enjoyed hitting the highway on his Harley. He enjoyed Lake Powell and sitting around a camp fire with people he loved. He spoke Navajo which conveyed his love for his culture on the reservation with his elders, numerous cousins, aunties and uncles. He was most happy with my sister, Navarina, fate reunited them and their family was blessed in their reunion. His legacy will live on with his grandchildren, love for adventure, traveling and learning.

Monicol graduated from Page High School and went on to pursue welding and crane operator vocation taking him across the United States. Monicol served in the United States Marine 1992-1995 and served a tour in Desert Storm, we are forever grateful for his service to country, once served, always serving. Rest in peace and enjoy the next calling.
