Monroe Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sacred Funeral Home on Apr. 19, 2025.
Born December 6, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, Monroe Jackson was the eldest child of O.B. Jackson and Martha Williams. He graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School, Class of 1974. After high school, he joined the United States Army, serving 4 years from February 14, 1975–February 16, 1979. He met and married Arna Williams in November 1994. He became a devoted member of Cedar Crest Church of Christ in June 2003, where he loved the people and service.
Monroe was a forklift driver for Great North American for 20 years. Following a company downsizing, he changed his focus to being a habilitator at CSP Health Services, where he remained a diligent worker until his health began to decline. He spent many years molding young boys into young men through his work with North Texas Pop Warner Football and the Dallas Raptors Youth Basketball Organization.
Monroe peacefully transitioned on April 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.B. Jackson and Martha Williams; sister, Anita Jackson; and his brother, O.B. Jackson, III. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Arna Jackson; three children, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, one brother, and a host of other relatives and friends.
