Monroe Jackson Johnson, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Monroe was born on September 3, 1958, in Batesville, Arkansas, to O.B. Johnson and Judy Hartwick Johnson, both of whom preceded him in death. He lived a long and happy life in Concord, Arkansas, where he was known and loved by many. Monroe worked for many years as a truck driver for Bill Davis Trucking.

Monroe had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time outside. He was an avid fan of westerns and especially enjoyed watching the television show Mountain Men. Football was another passion of his, and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, Monroe cherished his family and dearly loved his dog, Katie.

In addition to his parents, Monroe was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Johnson.

He is survived by his son, James Johnson of Concord; three daughters, April (Brad) Brock of Cushman, Crystal (Heath) Lee of Batesville, and Bethany (Jeremy) Wycough of Batesville; one brother, Byron Johnson of Batesville; one sister, Janice Smith of Searcy; grandchildren, Drew Brown, Skyler Henderson, Destynie (Chanz) Edwards, Alex (Tori) Cooper, Brylan Lee, Kaylynne Henderson, and Hunter Lee; and two great-grandchildren, Adalei Ever-Grace Brown and Scotlyn Rae-Ann Edwards.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Wolf Bayou, Arkansas, officiated by Brother Curt Howard

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Brad Brock, Alex Cooper, Jeremy Wycough, Heath Lee, Drew Brown, and Chanz Edwards.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Johnson, Brylan Lee, and Hunter Lee.

Monroe will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
