Monty Wayne Chittenden

Mr. Monty Wayne Chittenden, age 83, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Cox Medical Center South. Monty was born to Alfred Chittenden and Edna Chittenden on January 1, 1943 in Springfield, MO. Monty was united in marriage to Diane Chittenden who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his father, Alfred Chittenden; mother, Edna Chittenden, and by his brother Ronnie Chittenden. Monty was a long-time owner of his own concession business, traveling to many towns in this area. When he wasn't working, he loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his son Matt Chittenden, and his wife Nina, two grandsons: Iveck Chittenden and Zarek Chittenden, two sisters: Janet Goodwin and her husband John, and Donna Eagon and her husband, Junior, and one brother: Ted Chittenden and his wife, Sherry.

A Graveside Service for Monty will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Brookline Cemetery.
