Morris Bell Obituary
Morris moved to Niagara Falls in 1953 with his family and attended local schools. He joined the U.S. Navy serving from 1970-1975, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal and Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal.
He was employed at Gross Plumbing and in 1976 he was employed at Dupont as an operator, retiring in 2000.
He called himself "Mo Better Blues" and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. He loved to barbeque and always greeted his grand and great grandchildren with "What's the word? (they answered) Thunderbird! What's the price? (they answered) Fifty twice!!" and always said "I'm the baddest thing this side of the Rocky Mountains"!
Morris leaves to cherish his memory his wife Aisha A. (Abram) Bell of Niagara Falls, 5 daughters Dionne Haynes of California, Cassandra Ellis of Cleveland, Felicia Carter of Niagara Falls (who he always called his 'Baby Leich"), Renita Haynes of Tonawanda, Michele Slatter of Atlanta, Ga; 3 sons Jason Bell of St. Catharines, Ont., John Bell of Niagara Falls and Millard Ellis of Buffalo; 2 brothers Clifford Bell of North Carolina and William Bernard Bell of Niagara Falls; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a very special nephew Cedric Bell of Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, Morris is pre-deceased by 3 sisters Elvira Stephens, Gwendolyn Helen Bell and Janice Bell; two brothers Johnell Bell and Terry Moore and one son Terrance "Peanut" Carter.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11-12PM at New Hope Baptist 1122 Buffalo Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14303, where Funeral services will follow at 12PM.
