Morris Geuin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kilpatrick Funeral Home - West Monroe on Feb. 17, 2026.
Morris Wayne Geuin, 91, of West Monroe, Louisiana, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 13, 2026. It's never easy saying goodbye to a man who has meant so much to his family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, Louisiana, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe, Louisiana.

He joins his loving wife Barbara Milligan Geuin, his parents Abb Geuin and Ella Mae Clark Geuin, his sisters Dank Simpkins and Clara Mae Chambliss, and brother Marvin Geuin in eternal rest.

Wayne is survived by his daughter Debbie Boyter; granddaughter, Amie Boyter Myers (Phillip); grandson, Matthew Blake Boyter (Lauren); great- grandchildren, Kade Bowen, Ty Bowen, Bennett Boyter, Ellie Boyter, Brett Myers, Magan Myers; numerous nieces and nephews; sister and brothers in- laws, and best friend and running buddy Roy Kennedy.

He was born on January 6, 1935, in Eros, Louisiana to his parents Abb and Ella Mae Clark Geuin, and graduated from Eros High school. Wayne built a respected career in the paper bag industry. He retired from Gaylord and Champion Bag Company and went on to travel all over the US and several countries as a consultant in paper bag industry.

Wayne was a man of quiet strength, unwavering faith and a big heart. A true craftsman of both wood and spirit, he spent his life building not just with tools but through the love he poured into his family. He was the cornerstone of his home, providing a steady hand and a gentle word to anyone in need. His life was a true testament to the power of faith and the importance of family.

As an avid outdoorsman, some of his happiest hours were spent under the sun fishing and hunting. He often said that you are closest to God in nature. Gardening was also a passion, even though his garden became smaller as he aged, his thankfulness didn't Not a day went by that he didn't rejoice in the Lord for what he was given. If he wasn't gardening, he could be found "tinkering" on projects.

Wayne's love for his family was so strong, he was always concerned about his family and especially about all grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He wanted to know what each were doing and about their well-being. Known as Grandpa Goody by all the grandchildren, he never forgot a birthday or Christmas. He was loved by each of them.

His faith was his compass. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Calhoun, he lived his life as a reflection of his beliefs; with kindness, integrity, a servant's heart, and as a constant source of spiritual encouragement to those around him. He was loved by all.

"Well done, good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:21
