Funeral Services for Morris E. Groves, Jr, is Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Binkley Ross Funeral Home, Marion, IL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Odd Fellow Cemetery, Marion, IL.
Mr. Groves, 73 Years old, died Sunday, December 15, 2024, at his residence. He is a retired custodian for Gleason, TN schools and McKenzie Elementary School. He was born in Metropolis, IL on April 4, 1951, to the late Morris E. Groves and Lora McDaniels Groves.
He is survived by his wife Fay Groves of McKenzie, two daughters Angel (William) Phillips of Chester, IL, and Tonya (Kris) Presler of Herrin, IL a son John (Ravyn) Taylor of Simpsonville, SC, three sisters Irene Anderson of Marion, IL, Jane Sills of McComb, IL and Diane Groves of AZ., three brothers Billy Groves of Marion, IL, Everett Groves of Cincinnati, OH and Raymond Groves of Carterville, IL, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tammy Groves, sisters Dinah Dollar and Judy Krasselt and brothers Terry Groves and John Logan Groves.
