I remember my cousin Morris as I knew him, mostly when we were rascally kids-some dare say we all never stopped being rascally; I know I've yet to! My brother Steve, Morris, David, Darryl, and my favorite, Becky all having a blast hunting Easter eggs at their home in Foundation Park. My aunt Dollie saw to it that even it was raining heavily that particular Easter Sunday back in the 1970s, she along with my mother managed to save the day by hiding all of our beautifully hand-dyed eggs throughout their home in Foundation Park ;-) Matter of fact, I recall they had corralled us all into one place in the kitchen/or living room.. memory fades as to exact spot and told not to move until all the eggs had been hidden. Wouldn't you know it; we wound up having the best Easter egg hunt. The only two hunts I actually remember as a kid was the one in Foundation Park and one in Kinston, NC out in Uncle Tom and aunt Margaret's front yard---and sandspurs sticking into our little socks that hurt like hell!!
OUCH!!!!hahaha. We always think it's the carefully planned moments remembered most-- we do; but in the end, it's unplanned ones we wind up remembering most fondly. Heck, reading his obit just now makes me wish our paths had crossed more often into our adult lives. Rest in peace cousin. Cousin, Mark
