Morris Miller Obituary
Morris W. Miller, 88, of Andreas, Pa, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at Jewel Health and Rehab Center in Allentown, Pa.
He was the husband of Eleanor (Haas) Miller, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage on Dec. 24, 2023.
He was born in West Penn Twp., a son of the late Claude and Clara (Miller) Miller.
Morris was a Korean War veteran, having served with the Army.
He was a truck driver for various trucking companies for 47 years, and he later worked at the former K and K Auto Parts Co., Tamaqua.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mary Nester, of New Ringgold, and Ellen Haas, of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 13 siblings.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, with a calling hour beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown, with Alan Hartman officiating. "A soldier has passed away today." The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom and democracy. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.
