Morris Waites Jr.

Morris Eugene Waites, Jr. was born on January 29, 1938 in Dexter, Georgia to parents Morris E. Waites, Sr. and Eula Gilbert Waites. He died peacefully on March 12, 2023.
Morris attended the University of Texas and earned a business degree and was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. The banking industry was Morris' profession for many years. He worked at various banks in and around the Houston, Texas area. The majority of his employment was spent at First National Bank of Alvin and he eventually went to Wells Fargo in Alvin, where he retired. Morris was a 16 year resident of the Elkins Lake community and will be missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory, are his loving wife, Linda Waites; son Seth E. Waites; daughter Christy Waites; sister Gwen Waites Bruce and several nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his trusted and faithful companion, Dexter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Charlie Bruce.
