Morris Young Jr.

Morris Young, Jr. of New Orleans, LA entered eternal life on Monday, September 18, 2023 at the age of 68. He was a graduate of O. Perry Walker Class of 1973. Morris was a member of Caution Band. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in the Security Forces at Lackland Air Force Base. He did construction work with various companies. Morris was the son of the late Merrian and Morris Young, Sr. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edna Stokes; his sons, Kenneth Jackson, Jr. and Quan Young, Sr. Survived by his Loving wife, Michelle Patterson; children: LaShana Cooks, Morris, III, Nijel, Marlon and Maurice Young, and Rachel, Rochelle, and Rafael Henry; siblings: Brogan Young, Ivy (Wayne) Thomas, Charlayne Dorsey, Marvin (Donyelle) Rose, Brenda (Harold) Lee, Ladean (Bobby) Lewis, and Shelia (Daryl) Evans. Morris is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Godfather of Gregory Mosley, Clinton Baldwin, Jr. and Dr. Joshua Washington and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the service at D. W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125 on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 10:00am.
