Morse Arthur Kool, Jr. of Arkoma, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 25, 1949, in Saugatuck, Michigan, to the late Morse Arthur Kool and Rose Marie (O'Brien) Kool. He was 76 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Sherry Kool; and infant brothers, David and Johnny Kool.
Morse served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he was a computer programmer and worked for Beverly Enterprises in Fort Smith, was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA), a minister of the Gospel as well as a guitarist and song writer. Morse was known for his integrity and loved his family very much. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol (Petrosky) Kool; one daughter, Christine Knautz and husband Toby of Spiro, Oklahoma; three sons, David Kool and wife Cristi of Goodyear, Arizona, Morrie Kool of Arkoma, and Mark Kool and wife Anita of Arkoma; four sisters, Lorrie Lingar of Fort Smith, Peggy Hartsock and husband Bill of Cape Coral, Florida, Beverly Carlton and husband Terry of Kansas, and Debra Rickley; one brother, Stephen Kool of Fort Smith; (14) grandchildren; and (12) great-grandchildren.
