Mr. Henry Leon "Hank" Armstrong, age 81, of Covington, Georgia, died Friday, July 25, 2025, at his daughter's residence in Covington.
Funeral services for Mr. Armstrong will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Dr. Rex King officiating. Interment will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1:00 until the funeral hour.
Mr. Armstrong was born in Spartanburg, SC, on March 1, 1944, to the late William A. Armstrong and the late Evelyn Evans Armstrong. He was retired from Jones General Contracting Company, and was a bail bondsman for Jason Creamer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Armstrong was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by two sisters: Sheryl Jean Redd and Sue Johnson, and a brother, Marshall Armstrong. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Waller Armstrong of Thomaston; two daughters: Ronda (Mike) Rogers and Tonya (Mike) Reynolds of Covington, GA; two stepsons: Michael (Paula) Russell of Monroe, GA, and Timmy Russell of Thomaston; three brothers: Jerry Armstrong, Randall Armstrong and Dana Armstrong; six grandchildren: Kris King, Melissa Adams, Jeremy Adams, David Russell, Scott Russell, and Josie Russell; six great grandchildren: Malachi King, Sophia Miller, Ava Dodd, Declan Dodd, Ava Russell, and JD Russell. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
