Adams announces the passing of Mr. Robert L. Hamilton Jr., 79, who transitioned on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Celebration of Life Services will be held , 11am Saturday, October 12, 2024 in the Adams Chapel.
Viewing will be held 4pm-6pm Friday, October 11, 2024 at the funeral home.

Mr. Robert Lee Hamilton Jr., (Peter Gunn) 79, transitioned on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St.
Joesph Hospital, in Savannah, GA. He was born on September 22, 1945, to Robert L. Hamilton,
Sr. and Hester Jones. His father preceded him in death.
Robert was educated in Chatham County Schools in which he attended St. Benedict Catholic
School and Sol C. Johnson High School.
Robert was always adventurous and at an early age, traveled to Buffalo, NY, Oakland California,
Jersey City, NJ and Newark, NJ. He eventually returned to his home of Savannah, GA and
remained until his death.
He married his loving and devoted wife of 34 years Eloise D. Hamilton on February 14, 1990.
Robert accepted Christ as his Savior and joined First Friendship Baptist Church under the
leadership of Rev. Curtis Lemon. He also served as a Deacon for a short time.
Robert was a Welder by trade and was employed by Various Welding Companies in Buffalo, NY
and New Jersey. After returning to Savannah, he was employed by Savannah Intermodal
Container Company, Intermarine Welding and Southcoast Container Company as a Container
Welder, Supervisor. He retired in 1996. After two years of retirement Robert returned to work
as a Driver for the News Group delivering magazines and books to various retail establishments
throughout Savannah and the Low Country until 2003. After leaving the News Group, Robert
and Elosie decided to do some traveling and then to spend more time with his children and
grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Eloise Hamilton, his mother Hester Jones, his
loving and devoted children Robert E. Hamilton (Olympia), Dwyane Moultrie (Tameka), Zina
Delke (Larry) Rosalind Moultrie (Randy) Ronald Hamilton (Kimberly), Shawn Hamilton, Sr.,
Robyn Hamilton, Pavi ‘Elle Hamilton, Spring Bennett (Marvin) and Snow Roberson. Four
Stepsons Taiwan Wilson (Laquince), Phabian Powell, Javon Wilson, Antwann Wilson (Naketra).
His Loving sister Wilma Brown of Savannah, GA and Willene Baylor of Buffalo, NY. His sister
Gina Grayson preceded him in death. His sister-in-law Shirley Baldwin, of Dayton, OH., two
brother-in laws Joe Baldwin and Richard Wright, 42 loving grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
