Roger Lee Linkhorn affectionately known as "Popsicle" was born to the late Griffin Linkhorn, Sr. and Cora Lewis Linkhorn

December 12, 1945, in Albany, Ga. He was proceeded in death by his three sisters Ruth Linkhorn Houston, Roberta Linkhorn,

and Elizabeth Linkhorn, Four brothers Booker I. Linkhorn, Sr., Griffin Linkhorn Jr., Roosevelt Linkhorn, and Thomas Linkhorn, Sr.

 

At an early age Roger accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined Jordon Grove Baptist Church. In his later years he joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

 

In his early years, he was educated in the Dougherty County School System graduating from Monroe High School class of 1965.

 

In 1965 he joined the United State Army serving his county in the Vietnam War.

 

On February 5, 1966, he was United in Holy Matrimony to Ella Mae Thomas, to this union three daughters were born.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories. His devoted and loving wife Ella Linkhorn his children Dena Jackson (Albany, Ga) Deborah Linkhorn Washington (Atlanta Ga) Denay Linkhorn (Albany) five grandchildren Donald Colbert (Atlanta, Ga) Rodney

Washington (Orlando, Fla) Dionte Washington (Atlanta, Ga) Jaylen Moore (Albany, Ga) Teighlor Washington (Albany, Ga)

six great grands Javien Colbert, Justin Washington, Jaycee Colbert, Jaden Washington, Kinsley Gulley, Jayceon Colbert, Donald Colbert, Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews.
