Mrs. Billie Warren Horton, born on July 1, 1942, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at McLeod Hospital in Florence, South Carolina. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Pine Ridge and leaves behind a legacy rich in love and cherished memories.
Billie’s passion for family was the cornerstone of her life. She adored spending time with her sons, Todd Horton (Dana) of McBee and Terry Horton of Hartsville. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Drake Horton (Keri) and Alex Horton (Ansley), both of Hartsville, as well as her granddaughter, Susanna Rae Horton of Greenville. Billie's heart swelled with joy at the sight of her great-grandchildren, Olivia Horton and Langston Horton, who brought her boundless happiness. Known for her compassionate spirit and warmth, she also treasured her special forever friend, Kay Tumbleston of Hartsville.
In addition to her family, Billie had a profound affection for animals, especially her beloved dogs. Her fondness for Cardinals and the time spent watching these beautiful birds were cherished pastimes of hers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Gladys Flowers Warren.
A visitation to celebrate Billie's life will be on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Norton Funeral Home from 2:00-3:00pm followed by her funeral services at 3:00pm. Pastor Drake Horton will officiate. The burial will take place at the First Baptist Church of Pine Ridge.
Memorials may be made to the Darlington County Humane Society, 580 East Washington Street, Hartsville, SC 29550.
