On Monday August 4, 2025, Leslie “Les” Hoffman peacefully passed away. He was 68.
Les was born on July 22, 1957, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Donald and Margaret Hoffman. He grew up in Holland, Ohio.
After graduating from Springfield High School, Les joined the Air Force and honorably served our country over the next 24 years, retiring in 1999 as a Master Sergeant.
He then worked as a Mission Planning Support Specialist in the Civil Service until fully retiring.
Les was a life-member of the Milford V.F.W. and frequently volunteered with the Salvation Army.
He enjoyed wood working, NASCAR races, helping on projects, camping, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife, Karen.
Les is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Karen Hoffman. He is also survived by his children, Mark Hoffman and his wife Crystal, Thomas Hoffman and his wife Mary, Kaitlyn Bulson and her husband Justin, Travis Howell and his wife Keza, and Ashley Howell, his grandchildren; Lyric, Nathanial and his wife Avery, Audrina, Maverick, Mathias, Elias, Paul, Jr. (P.J.), Aliyah, Kaleb, Madison, Kinsley, Bailey, Raegen, and Aiden, his great grandchildren, Saylani and Junie, his former spouse, Dalia Hoffman, his siblings; Rebecca Zellers, Donald Hoffman, III and his wife Kathy, Glenda Hawley and her husband Raymond, G. Michael Hoffman and his wife Veronica, and his cousin, Ronald Hoffman, Jr. and his wife Cathy.
Les was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Hoffman, Jr. and Margaret Hoffman, and his sister, Theresa Hoffman.
The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, on Wednesday August 13th at 5PM to 8PM and on Thursday August 14th from 11:30AM to 12:30PM, with a funeral service at 12:30PM.
Interment is at Millsboro Veteran Cemetery with full military honors following the funeral service.
