Mr. Virgil Wesly Dulin, 90, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on November 16, 2025 at home.

Virgil was born on April 25, 1935 to the late Cecil Fillmore Dulin and Bertha Dillon in Rowan County, Kentucky.

In life, Virgil retired in October 1979 after serving in the army as a MSGT, and worked in civil services for over 15 years following his military career.

His awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal; Master Parachutist Badge; Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device; Army Commendation Medal; Combat Infantry Badge; Presidential Unit Citation; Meritorious Unit Commendation; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm; Meritorious Unit Commendation (Navy); Good Conduct Medal (6th award); and Sharpshooter Rifle M-16 Expert Badge 45 Caliber Pistol.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by six siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eva Dulin; sons David Dulin (Pam) of Plano, TX and Christopher Dulin of Fayetteville, NC; daughter Sandra Jean Diffee (Allen) of Raeford, NC; brothers Sonny Dulin (Janet) of Billings, MT, Clyde R. Dulin of Chillicothe, OH, and Freddie Dulin of Winchester, KY; granddaughter Miranda Dulin; step-grandson, David Diffee (Julie), along with a host of loving family members.

Services will be held at LaFayette Funeral Home on a later date.
