Muriel Geter

Muriel B. (Price ) Geter, affectionately known as "Peanie", was called home January 16, 2026 at the age of 89. Muriel was born September 27, 1936, to Elwood B. Price Sr. and Muriel (Anderson) Price in Worcester, MA.

Peanie graduated from Worcester Commerce High School in 1954 and went on to get her Associates degree in business and accounting from Roxbury Community College. She worked for the City Manager's office of Worcester and retired as a State Auditor. As a lifelong member of Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church she was Choir Director for the Bright Stars of Zion. Her heritage included being a proud part the Laurel-Clayton community. She was involved in many community projects including the Prospect House of Worcester and the Women's Coalition. She Enjoyed singing, dancing and performing with many of her family members who were also musicians and singers. She will be remembered for many things including being a role model to young women in the community. She was also known for a keen sense of fashion!

Muriel is predeceased by her parents, Elwood B. Price Sr. and Muriel (Anderson) Price, brothers Elwood (Bunny) Price, Jr, Phillip C. Price Sr., Richard Price Sr., Gerald Price Sr., Kenneth Price, sister Beverly M. (Price) Levicie, and ex-spouse Douglas M Geter. Leaves to mourn her passing her loving son Douglas M. Geter II and wife Elisabeth M. Geter, of Southbridge MA, sister Geraldine (Price) Jackson of California, brother Thomas Price of New Jersey, grandchildren, Trey A. Washington of Providence RI, Nathaniel K. Geter of Pawtucket RI, Mia A. Geter of Middleboro MA and Douglas M. Geter III of Lakeville MA, Great grandchildren: Jasiell and Aliyah. And a host of many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
