Muriel Smith Obituary
WATERFORD - Muriel A. Smith, 98 of Davis Drive, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Mary Mullen Boudreau. She was educated in Green Island Schools.
Muriel was employed for 20 years at the Bendix Corp in Green Island and retired in 1987. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Muriel enjoyed audio books, Bingo and sweets, especially hot fudge sundaes.
She was the widow of Robert E. Smith Sr. who died in 2016; the couple had been married for 69 years. She was the mother of Robert E. Smith Jr. (Marianne) of Scotia, Kim Ann Ferguson (Al), Kellie M. Smith (Dave Cole) of Waterford, Timothy P. Smith (Sherry) of Troy and the late Paul D. Smith. She was also predeceased by her sister, June Graham. Muriel was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.

To the entire Smith Family,
We are sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person. Muriel was also very giving, loving, and so outspoken but in a compassionate way that made her unique and fun. We are going to miss our dear friend.
