Myanna Janae Scott, also known as “MyMy”, was born October 6, 2004, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Miesha Scott and Ronald Hopkins. On Friday, April 18, 2025, Myanna passed away peacefully, knowing she was loved by many, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Saginaw, with her mom and Aunt Cookie by her side. She was 20 years old.
Myanna was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Saginaw, Michigan, where she accepted Christ alongside her brother Jorden on January 3, 2016. Myanna graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 2022 and briefly attended Delta College for Nursing, but eventually wanted to pursue her degree in Psychology. Myanna also worked as a CNA at Healthsource, caring for others, which she loved to do.
Myanna loved going out to eat, especially eating seafood, shopping, and hanging out with family and close friends. She loved being in the comfort of her own home. She loved everything pink, music, makeup, and wearing and creating jewelry. Despite what she's been through, Myanna was the sweetest and caring young lady. She loved laughing, dancing, and making TikTok videos with her friends. Since the young age of eight, Myanna has shown so much strength and resilience, and always maintained a personal relationship with God. Despite her long health journey, she never gave up but peacefully accepted that God needed her more.
Myanna is survived by her parents, Miesha Scott and Terance (Bear) Magee; grandparents, JC Davenport, Doris Davenport, Pastor Lafayette Simpson, and Ronald Johnson; siblings, Jorden Scott, Teran Magee, Terance (TJ) Magee Jr., Ka'Ron (Lakkia) Cooper, and Alexxandria Braddock; niece, Gianna Cooper; aunts, Joanne Davenport, Jamieca Scott, Amanda Hopkins, Doris (Cookie) Matthews, Latoya (Roosevelt) Montgomery, Patrice Davenport, Brittany Scott, Janine Davenport, Bre'Anna Scott, Nicole Davenport, Shanequa Davenport, and Jaylah Davenport; uncles, Xavier (Jalynn) Hopkins, and Jacob Davenport; special cousins, Rhonda (Glenn) Dobson, Sharnice (Ger'Quia) Abner, Cierra (CiCi) Cooper, Brooke Scott, Shaun Matthews, and Javarie (Vari) Holliday; special friends, Jazaria (Zaria) Allen, Ashley (Tweet) Owens, Gregory (Greg) Dottery, Jataeya (Tayder) Williams, Keenan Liggins, Ra'Niyah (Niyah) Arthur, Aaron (AJ) Johnson, and Brianna (Monae) Bates.
