It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Myiesha Saunders, who passed away on October 30, 2025. Born on January 26, 1977 in Newport, Myiesha was a bright light to all who knew her, embracing life with warmth and kindness.
Myiesha loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. She also loved being a traveling nurse. Myiesha had a beautiful spirit and a kind heart and was a wonderful mother.
Myiesha is survived by her beloved family: her kids Kyliah Sumner-Harold, DeNae Tutson and Dejuan Tutson; her father, Frank Cochran; her mother, Olivia Cockerham and her husband, Curtis; grandmother, Joan Saunders; her brothers, Frank and Davon Saunders; her nephew, Naceme; nieces, Jiana, and Emma Saunders; and her grandchildren, Xerxes, Ares and Danahli; and her sisters, Shawne Orosco, Katrina and Kanisha Kellam, and Deneasha Perry. Each of them carries with them the love and lessons Myiesha imparted throughout her life, and her spirit will continue to inspire and support them in all their endeavors.
