COLUMBUS – Myna Ann Johnson, 74 of Columbus, passed away on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025 at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Myna was born on Sept. 3, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Alfred T. and Eloise (Taylor) Johnson.
A 1970 graduate of Newark High School, Myna went on to earn her degree from Columbus Business University in 1971. She built a dedicated career as a Tech Data Specialist with the Defense Construction Supply Center, now known as the Defense Logistics Agency, Columbus, Ohio.
A member of the Presbyterian Church, Myna lived her life with faith and kindness. Outside of work, she was a passionate NASCAR fan, cheering especially for Kevin Harvick. She had a deep love for music and could often be found relaxing to her favorite songs.
Myna had a special place in her heart for animals, always surrounded by her beloved pets who were part of her family. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Those were the moments she valued most.
Myna is survived by her cousins, Statan Middleton, Nancy Bailey, William (Barbara) Taylor, and Mona Lee Short; special friends, Pat Felumlee, Patty Luckeydoo, Kathy Pellegrin, Nicole "Giggles", Beverly Wilson, Kathy Adametz, Charlie Scruggs, Dana Thompson, Tom Blaise, Fran King, Chuck Jarrell; as well as many other dearly beloved cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a cousin, Belinda Waldren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Kingscreek Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.
