Myong Sun Carbon, 73, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, Myong was the daughter of the late Sang Pak In and Sun Mo Yi In. In Seoul, while she was a hairdresser, she met the love of her life, a young Army serviceman by the name of Larry Carbon. They married and she moved with him to multiple locations in the United States and abroud.
A devoted wife and mother, Myong dedicated herself to caring for her family as a homemaker. Alongside her husband, she also owned and operated a coin laundry and a fast-food restaurant.
In her spare time, Myong found joy in yard sales, loved tending to her garden, and was a talented cook whose meals brought comfort and connection to those she loved.
Most of all, Myong’s faith was the foundation of her life. A devoted Christian, she was a cherished member of The Winning Church, where she served faithfully as a “Mother.” Prior to that, she was active in the local Korean Presbyterian Church of Warner Robins. Her kindness, gentleness, and devotion to others were evident in every role she filled, especially as a wife, mother, friend, and servant of Christ.
She will be remembered as kind-hearted, loving, caring, devoted, selfless, and an extraordinary encourager.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Larry Jerone Carbon of Warner Robins; children, Leon Carbon, Kristin Carbon, and Deborah Bowie (Gregory), all of Warner Robins; grandsons, Kurtis Carbon (Zeshenah), Savon Carbon, Daryan Bowie, Samuel Bowie; great-grandchildren, Kaeden Carbon, Karson Bowie; siblings, Myong Ok Cho (Nyon Sik), Ki Hyun In, Mija Lee (Sangmin), Myong Ae Kim (Cheon Jong), and Ki Suk In; as well as many other beloved extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A homegoing service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Myong Sun Carbon will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@McCulloughFuneralHome via the McCullough Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
