Myra Jo Harbrecht (nee Snyder), age 78, of
Merrillville, IN, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
Myra is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Harbrecht; children: Greg (Staci Cool) and Joanna (Shane) Cronenworth; five grandchildren: Logan, Jordan, Emilee, Jacob and Maxwell; three great-grandchildren: Zelda, Ruby Jo and EivØr; her nephews; and her lifelong friends: Bettie Crisman, Mary Ann Frenchik and Linda Carter.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Winifred Snyder.
Myra loved cooking gadgets and watching her crime shows. She was a member of Merrillville Wesleyan Church and devoted to her faith; she was also the church secretary. Myra was a very funny and outgoing person and she never met a stranger. "Goofy Grandma" as she was lovingly known, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Myra's name to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
