Myra Rae Ranger

Myra Rae Ranger, age 67, of Whittemore, MI., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on July 22, 2025. Myra was born on August 22, 1957, to the late Marshall and Iris (Woyahn) Proper. Her parents had seven children, six boys and Myra was the only girl.

Myra was a lifelong resident of Whittemore. She married Bert Ranger Sr., in 1977, and together they had three boys. She worked at Tawas Plating & Powder Coating for many years. Her favorite hobbies were crocheting, camping at the local lakes, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Myra is survived by her children, Denny (Alicia) Ranger, Bert (Diane) Ranger, and Eugene (Tammy) Ranger; brothers, Ivan Michalko, Henry Proper, Terry Proper, Mark Proper, Marshall Proper; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Myra is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bert (2023); brother Robert Proper; grandchildren, Steven, Justin, Joshua Ranger, and also her mother-in-law, Clara Mae Ranger and father-in-law Vergil Ranger.

The family will hold services for Myra on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI. Visitation will be from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Funeral at 6:00pm. Pastor Mike O'Brien will be attending from 4:00 – 5:00pm for any prayers the family would like at that time. Chaplain Karen Orbin will be officiating the funeral at 6:00pm.
