Myra Ardella (Bode) Truebenbach, age 83, of North Mankato was called to her eternal home on January 5, 2025 surrounded by her family at Vista Prairie at North Pointe Senior Living.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato, MN with visitation two hours prior from 9-11 a.m. Burial will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Nicollet, MN. Myra was born December 22, 1941 to George and Edna (Luepke) Bode in Courtland Township, Nicollet County, MN. On January 1, 1942 she was brought to the Lord by her parents in Holy Baptism at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Courtland, MN. She confirmed her faith in Christ at Immanuel Lutheran Church on April 3, 1955 by Pastor E.H. Marxhausen. She attended Nicollet Public High School and graduated May 28, 1959. She was united in marriage to Eugene Truebenbach on October 7, 1961 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Decoria Township. They raised their five children south of Nicollet. She got remarried to Dennis Hlavacek in August 1993, and they resided in Victoria, MN for 23 years. They later divorced and she moved to Mankato, MN.
Myra enjoyed visiting her families in South Dakota and Minnesota. She also enjoyed gardening and golfing. For many years, she worked at Immanuel St Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato in central scheduling department and then also at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Waconia, MN before she retired.
Myra is survived by her 4 sons, Kevin (Pam) Truebenbach of Nicollet, Dale (Robin) Truebenbach of Columbia, SD, Mitch (Carolyn) Truebenbach of Aberdeen, SD, Troy (Corrine) Truebenbach of Aberdeen, SD; daughter, Natalie (Dave) Leske, of Wickenburg, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; sister, Marlys (John) Thorson; brother, Wallace (Patsy) Bode.
The family would like to thank Vista Prairie at North Pointe Senior Living, and Brighton Hospice for their excellent care during her final journey to the Lord.
