Myrle Joyce (Besler) Foote, 101, of Sylvania, OH, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was born in Racine, WI, to parents, Charles and Elizabeth (Weisert) Besler. After graduation from high school Myrle began employment with S.C. Johnson Wax in the credit and bookkeeping department. When WW II started, Myrle took a sabbatical and was a Rosie the Rivetter working on the wings of the bombers.

Myrle was very active for many years in Sylvania First Methodist Church and sang in the choir until she was 90. She loved tennis, golf and bridge clubs. She worked as a realtor and appraiser for DiSalle Real Estate for 35 years, retiring on her 87th birthday. She had a clothing alteration business that continued until she reached the age of 92.

Myrle is survived by daughters, Nancy Foote Freeborn and Linda Foote McInnes; grandson, Garrett (Amber) McInnes; great-grandchildren, Mason and Mikayla McInnes; nephews, Tim and Terry Besler; nieces, Janet Besler Gossett and Kate Besler Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Foote; and brothers, Charles Jr., George, Robert, and Paul.

Family and friends may gather at Sylvania First United Methodist Church, 7000 Erie St., Sylvania, Friday, February 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Ceremony begins at 12:00 p.m. At the request of the family, committal services will be private.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the members of the church who helped care for her in her last years.

Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider the Sylvania First United Methodist Church Music Program or the Salvation Army.
