Myrna J. Botka, age 88, was born in Chicago to the late Warren and Cora Armstrong and passed away peacefully at home on Sunday December 1, 2024 with her family by her side.
Myrna J. Botka was preceded in death by her husband William J. Botka of 67 years; loving mother of Patricia (Jim) Lukas, David (Patty) Botka, Ronald (Kelly) Botka, Christine (Mike) Hendry and Annette (Mitch) McClain; proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren; also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Rose (Frank) Halal, Arlene (Elmer) Conrad, James (Joan) Armstrong, and June Consier; fond aunt of several nieces and nephews, as well as several cousins. Myrna worked for Prudential Insurance in Chicago before working at Montgomery Ward in Joliet and retiring there after 20 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, sewing and cooking. Myrna especially loved gatherings with her family. All services held are private.
