Myrtie M. Castleberry, 98, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025. A lifelong resident of Forsyth County, Myrtie graduated from Forsyth County High School and retired from the Forsyth County Clerk of the Superior Court’s office. She enjoyed reading and cooking and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Myrtie is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Vera Castleberry and her brother, Frank Castleberry.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary Alice Castleberry; a nephew, Thomas “Mike” Castleberry and his wife, Kimberly, and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Richard officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA is in charge of arrangements.
