Myrtle Carlson Obituary
Myrt was an education graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead. After teaching in Wayzata and Hopkins, she studied to get her master's from the University of Minnesota. She then taught third and fourth grade in the Roseville schools until retirement.
Fifty-three years ago she married Gary Carlson, beginning a long and happy marriage.
Myrt enjoyed many things including her twenty cruise ship adventures, biking and Fort Myers winter breaks.
Her daughter Sonya was always a source of joy. When Sonya married John Wilson and made her a grandmother with Anna and Carl, her life was full.
She is also survived by her brother Douglas Carlson {Jane} and their children Kirsten, David and Andrew.
Our family wants to thank both the caring staffs at New Perspective [Arden Hills] and Brighton Hospice. In lieu of flowers, consider a charity.
Myrt gave of her time and money to causes that benefited children, education and the environment.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am (visitation at 10:30) at Roseville Lutheran Church on Thursday, January 8th.
