Myrtle Deatsch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Apr. 1, 2024.
JACKSONVILLE - Myrtle "Gerri" Geraldine Deatsch, 83, of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the mausoleum chapel at Onslow Memorial Park.
Mrs. Deatsch was a devoted mother. She would go to great lengths to care for her kids. She would give them a "pinch" as a sign of her love. Before beginning her career at Stanadyne, she was a caring babysitter, having watched many children in her early years. Gerri loved to squaredance and will be missed dearly by her Tuesday Night Squaredance Group.
She was born May 26, 1940 in Douglas Nebraska to the late Frances B. Talcott and Delva Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many siblings.
Survivors include her children, Garry (Margeaux) Deatsch, Christine Deatsch and Treasa (Ben) Quinones; grandchildren, Alexis (Charlie) and Benjamin; and great-grandchildren, Chloe and Bennett.
She was a wonderful mother. For everything she has ever done, she will be missed.
