N. June Plant, 93, of Kronenwetter, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, at her home.
June was born on June 4, 1932, to the late Alfred and Bessie (Sefton) Zich. She married R. Ross Plant on April 12, 1952, in Wausau, WI.
June was a wonderful wife and mother. She was always practical and had a wonderful sense of humor. June enjoyed traveling and camping, visiting many of the National parks, as well as many fishing trips to Canada with friends and family. She loved to spend time in the northwoods and the winters in Florida.
June had many interests. She made beautiful quilts and afghans that she gifted to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. And you would have never seen her without a dog close by as she and Ross had many dogs over the years.
She is survived by her husband Ross, of nearly 74 years. She is also survived by her children; son, Michael (Cynthia) Plant; and daughters, Cheryl (Paul) Jahns, Susan (Rick) Paszkot, and Barb (Keith) Friedlein; grandchildren, Kelly (Wade) Puntney, Christopher (Kirby) Plant, Matthew Plant, Brian (Amy) Jahns, Andy (Carly) Jahns, Aimee (Kyle Buehler) Paszkot, Jonathan (Jaewoo) Paszkot, David (Piper) Pozorski, Laura Friedlein, and Lucas Friedlein; great-grandchildren, Lana, Ethan, Tenley, Harlow, Henry, Violet, Emily, William, Ryan, Rhys, Lucy, Vincent, and Trinity. She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Wayne Plant; and former sister-in-law, Diane Plant. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce (Jack) Schuetz.
A memorial service will be planned in the future.
