Nadine Vivian Hatch, 65, of Jamestown, ND, passed away peacefully at her home on June 14, 2025, after a yearlong battle of ALS, Lou Gerig’s Disease.
Nadine was born March 20th, 1960, in Carrington, ND, the daughter of Kenneth and Vivian (Wanamaker) Hatch. Nadine graduated from Jamestown High School in 1978. Nadine met Rex Mandel through mutual friends and married on March 23rd, 1980 in Jamestown. Together they had 4 children, Kristen, Troy, Trevor, and Rex Jr. Nadine was a hard worker from the very beginning. Throughout her life she worked at a scale house in Beulah, ND, drove Semi for her Father-in-Law, worked at Dakota Pork & Dress Beef in South Dakota, Newman Signs, Goodrich, Home Design Center, and the last 9 years at Cavendish in Jamestown. For 16 years, Nadine and Bruce Gumke made their home on the farm near Gackle. In 2019, Nadine moved back to Jamestown.
She loved traveling with her sisters and family, gardening & canning, horseback riding, jeepin’, ranger rides with Sadie the dog, hunting gophers on the farm with her granddaughters, going fishing down by Gackle, she absolutely loved playing Bingo didn’t matter where and always with a Limon Coke in hand. Her friends called her Beulah and she was always ready for a good time; she loved dancing and always had a smile on her face and the most distinct laugh. She also loved her dog, Deuce, who went everywhere with her until she got sick.
Nadine is survived by her children, Kristen (Ken) Grenz of Jamestown, ND; Troy Mandel of Huron, SD; Trevor (Lindsay) Mandel of Jamestown, ND; Rex (McKayla) Mandel of Williston, ND. Grandchildren Alexandra (Wade) Grenz, Valley City, ND; Elizabeth Grenz, Jamestown, ND; Emma Grenz, San Diego, CA; Haley (Marty) Mandel, Sioux Falls, SD; Taylor Mandel, Huron, SD; Sarita Sanmiguel, Jamestown, ND. Great Grandchildren, Dion & Malik, Blakelynn & Emilia. 4 sisters Jorene Temme, Jeri Hagen, Denise Hatch, & Roxanne Bleibaum, all of Jamestown, ND; 2 brothers, Ranell (Bonnie) Hatch, & Corey Hatch, all of Fargo, ND. Uncle, Richard Elton, CA; Aunt, Ardis Ann Molocko, Las Vegas, NV. Childhood friend, Deb Orr Bear; and Special Friend Tanya Marsolek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Kenneth & Vivian; 2 brothers, Joell Hatch & Dennis Hatch; infant great-grandchild Carter James; nephew Andrew Hagen; paternal grandparents; Rose (Rank) & Ralph Hatch, maternal grandparents Hazel (Wanamaker) & Hugh Elton.
The family will have a private family inurnment at Juanita Lake where she spent time as a child.
A huge Thank You to Home Health, Bridgewell, & Hospice for the care of mom while she battled this disease.

MEMORIAL SERVICE-11 AM, Thursday, June 19, 2025, Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Ave. NE, Jamestown. Lunch follows.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE- 4:30 PM, Thursday at the Knights of Columbus (Club 1883), 519 1st Ave. S, Jamestown.
INURNMENT-A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
