Nadine Sharp, 76, of Spiro, formerly of Muldrow, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born on June 15, 1948, in Bunch. She was the daughter of Barney Holloway and George and Minnie Woodward.
A graduate of Cave Springs High School, Nadine dedicated her life to her family, working as a homemaker while also contributing her skills as a laborer at various facilities. Her warmth and dedication shone brightly in every aspect of her life.
On November 11, 1966, she married the love of her life, Don Sharp, in Akins. Together, they built a beautiful family that will continue to honor her memory. Nadine is survived by her children: Bobby Sharp of Sallisaw, Donald and Lisa Sharp of Spiro, and Karen and Brad Likens of Muldrow. She also leaves behind her stepsons, Rick Sharp of Oklahoma City and Mike Sharp of Sallisaw, as well as her sister, Wanda Henning.
Nadine's legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Justin and Hailey Sharp, Braden and Quinley Likens, Darian and Ty Walker, and step-grandchildren: Chris Sharp, Craig and Rachel Sharp, and Keli Sharp. She cherished her great-grandchildren and took immense joy in her family's accomplishments and the love they shared.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Don Sharp, as well as her parents, Barney Holloway and George and Minnie Woodward, and her stepdaughter-in-law, Dana Sharp.
Nadine Sharp will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her greatest joys were found in the love of her husband and family, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A funeral service to celebrate her life was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, burial followed at Akins Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Michael Sharp, Scott Sharp, Heath Sharp, David Brown, Kendall Sampson and Jason Burt.
