Nadine Snyder Obituary
1934-2023
Nadine N. Snyder passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Nadine was bon in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 27th, 1934. She was the second of five children born to John Nieman and Mildred Hartbauer Nieman
Nadine graduated from West High School. She confirmed her baptism as a young adult at St. John's Lutheran church in Salt Lake City, promising to live out her faith in Jesus.
On September 20, 1952 she married Raymond E. Snyder. Ray and Nadine were married fifty years, and to this loving union, five sons were born.
Nadine attended medical assistant school and loved working in the medical field. Later, she turned her hobby and love for antiques into a business when she and her sister, Verda, opened their antique shop, My Memories.
Nadine loved her family and was lovingly nicknamed "Gambling Granny" by her grandkids. Nadine not only raised her boys, but all the neighborhood boys too! She loved the yearly family trips to Lake Tahoe, her grandkids, and gathering the family for Sunday dinners.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy; brother, Robert; husband, Ray; infant son, Rocky; grandsons, Ryan, Rocky, Kirt; and granddaughter, Jessica Wopsock.
Nadine is survived by her sons, Raymond A. Snyder (LeiAn), Rick Snyder (Lisa), Randy Snyder (Vicki), Rodney Snyder; brother, John; sister, Verda; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 15th at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 10:00-10:45. Interment will take place in the Memorial Holladay Park at 4900 Memory Lane, Holladay.
