Nan "Nana" Johnson, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at her home. She was born on April 9, 1958, in Wichita Falls, TX to Charles and Nola Mozelle Morris Johnson and had lived between Reidsville and Vidalia most of her life.
Nan dedicated over twenty years of her professional life to Collins Trading Company in Reidsville, followed by an impressive twenty-six years at the Captain's Corner in Vidalia. Her loyalty and commitment to her work were evident, and she made a significant impact on those around her.
A proud graduate of Reidsville High School, Class of 1977, Nan was known for her vibrant personality. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as sitting on her back porch, engaging in lively conversations on her phone, and spending days at the beach. Her nurturing spirit was also reflected in her love for her cats, which brought her immense happiness.
One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandson, nieces, and nephews. Nan cherished these moments, creating lasting memories that her family will hold dear forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Nan is survived by her daughter, Natalie Nail (Lee Willis) of Reidsville her sister and brother-in-law, Nola and Glenn Bradley of Collins; grandsons, Tucker, Layne and Gavin Willis; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Nan's life will be held 4:00pm on Sunday November 24, 2024, at Low Country Cremation & Burial. The family will receive friends after the service.
