Nancy Elaine Adkins, age 72, of Pekin, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at her residence. Born January 1, 1953 in Huntington, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Earl Black and Darlene Kissinger.
She is survived by her husband, James Adkins, whom she married on August 17, 1988; 5 children: Kimberly Steele, Christy Bobo, Anthony Finley, Macil Melton, Mary Adkins Boyles; 1 brother, Bruce Childers; 1 sister, Misty Childers; 11 grandchildren: Lauren Steele, Dara Steele, Cathern Spencer, Carley Finley, Raelynn Finley, Brooklynn Finley, Tiffany Harkleroad, Jamie Zepp, Abby Melton, Amanda Boyles, Kayla Collins; 5 great-grandchildren: Blaze Johnson, Forrest Michael McRae, Jackson Harkleroad, Rowyn Zepp, and Kinsley Collins.
Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with funeral arrangements. A funeral service will be held at a later date and time in Milton, West Virginia.
